No both hogs I had caught got away. I was just hunting one of my curs and walking snatch on a lead. Lucky was fighting one I cut snatch loose at 30 yards he got tangled in the vines. Lucky hog broke. She stopped her hog like 50 yards away about 150-175 sow I got in there and legged it but I got tangled in vines and when she got away that time she never quit running. My father in law seen the boar hog and snatch going through the pasture. Said hed to 250-275. Snatch stopped him in a hammock by the time I got over there the hog already got him and was gone.

Yeah Cale I got that 9-10 month male pup I was gonna get rid of. I'm so glad I got 100 calls about him but nobody ever come to get him. I just could justify keeping 2 catch dogs.

Yeah I'd rather have one die of old age but at least it wasn't from a snake or car or heat stroke or something like that.

For those that never got to hunt with snatch, i will be the first to tell you that he was a hell of a hog dog and a hog catching machine. I had the pleasure of catching many of hogs behind him. As a young dog we didnt use him a whole lot because we ran my bull dog Tank as he was a little older and a for sure thing. Well Tank got killed on a hog dog quota hunt on 2007Nov14 in Potts. After that Snatch was our full time CATCH dog. We both had two hell of bull dogs. At times me and Ryan always joked about "what if we only ran our two bull dogs when Tank was alive". I will tell you that there aint to many cur dogs that could find hogs and stick with runners like they could, and im talking taking one miles!! I assure you that with those two dogs we could catch any hog around! RIP Snatch and we will all be catching hogs again every day in the skies. Ryan, Snatch and Tank are making that combo up there right now and im sure they have one uped us already!
