Me and a bud decided to hit the river yesterday. We took Alley and Rebar and a pup Moonshine. Got our destination to find out it was flooded. So we loaded back up and headed to another spot we knew held hogs. 1/2 hour and Alley had one bayed, it broke twice til Rebar got there and we headed to them at 120 yards. Rebar tried to catch and backed up! That's when i knew we were in for a bad day........ He was our only catchy dog, with a straight uo strike/bay dog (Alley) and a cherry poppin pup. As I got to where i could see the action Rebar was testing the hog and getting punted. He already was split down both shoulders. Other two dogs were keeping the hog bayed but Rebar couldn't do it solo. Once I called Rebar off, the hog got the pups achilles tendon. She's probably done (retired) 7 months old. After 900 hundred in vet bills Rebar is up and walking around but sore. I patched Alley's puncture wounds, Moonshine had surgery to reattach her tendon. Bad day. Footage isn't great cause terrain was THICK! But you can here everything. First time I ever forgot Rebar's Cut vest. Check it out!
first video, we'll get better!
