Well I had something really weird happen Friday. I got a call from a vet in town I use saying a lady came in saying she had a dog show up at her house with my collar on it, just a different phone number and was under weight. The collar had my name alright but a phone number from my old house in Webster 7 years ago. The dog is not mine or under weight, just tired and had a couple ticks. I knew before I went to see it that the dog was not mine but I was curious because it had my name on the collar. I have owned and bred AB'S since 97/98 and it is a AB. Now I am going crazy trying to figure out where he came from and why the hell someone would leave a collar on a dog that has my name on it ? If this dog would have done something bad it would have come back on me. I have given a couple old collars to people that I have given or sold dogs to, but not Bulldogs. I have always asked for them to just pop the name tags off and they have said they would buy new collars. I guess lesson learned, Never doing that again. The dog is here, I placed a add in the local paper for a found dog and we will see what happens with that . The dog was found in the Withlacoochee state forest near the National cemetery. Looks about 4 or 5 years old. Very good acting dog and gets along with other dogs and live stock. The people that found him have horses and chickens and he never messed with any of them. Dog seemed to know what a dog box was also. Just thought I would pass this on and maybe as small as the world can be someone might know who this dog belongs to. I don't need or want another bulldog but would like to find the owner and if not a new home.
