Took trixie back to the vet yesterday and one of her back legs has to be amputated. Its been on on going problem since December. Got one of her nervous cut by a hog. Trixie  The hog that got her leg.  |

Thats a good lookin little dog. Iv never had a three legged dog but Iv heard of guys that have and they say that it doesnt really hinder them at all. Heard of a guy that had a Walker dog that lost one of its back legs and he said the dog was faster on three legs than he was on four.

My buddy has a dog that has a bum back leg the tendons got cut by a hog couple years back it doesn't seem to bother him

Sorry about the dog. Seen it on the Texas board. Hunted with a guy from Bowling Green years ago that had a 3 legged dog. That dog never missed a lick. Amazing what they can adjust to. The front leg is a bigger deal than the back. Glad you did the right thing, i bet it was hard for you.

Shes doin alright. Her foot looks a lot better this week. Not sure if its from the meds or from keeping in my hog wagon away from concrete kennels. She goes back to the vet tomorrow. Hopefully we can get a date for surgery.

Just got back from the vet shes having her surgery Tuesday morning.
